Funk Stiftung
About the funder
Dr. Leberecht Funk and his wife Maritta founded the private and non-profit Funk Foundation in 2014. As the world's first foundation dedicated to promoting risk management and risk awareness, it focuses on the financial support of practical projects in the field of risk management, particularly vocational education in the insurance industry. Within this framework, the foundation also awards prizes and organizes professional events. Additionally, cultural projects are supported.

Mission & Vision
Planning security and a comprehensive understanding of risks and opportunities remain highly relevant topics in shaping the future. Our engagement with the core issues of risk and insurance management has heightened our awareness. With the funding from the Funk Stiftung, we aim to contribute to advancing awareness of a methodical and analytical approach to risk assessment and management.
Target groups
The Funk Foundation supports non-profit research and cultural projects that benefit the general public. Both domestic and foreign non-profit institutions and project sponsors are funded, ideally having their headquarters or a representative in the European Union or in states associated with the EU. Very small projects and private individuals are generally not supported.
