Mission & Vision
"Making an impact with values" – the Haniel Foundation strengthens sustainable entrepreneurship and opens up educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people. Guided by the principle of the "honorable merchant," it combines entrepreneurial responsibility with long-term societal impact.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial talents (scholarships, study programs) as well as educationally disadvantaged children and young people in schools and social institutions. Geographical focus: Germany, with a regional emphasis on Duisburg and North Rhine-Westphalia. Basic eligibility requirements vary depending on the program.
