About the funder

The IMM Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation based in Mittweida. Since its establishment in 2003, it has been promoting and supporting projects and initiatives in the fields of science/technology, sports/health, and arts/culture. The foundation particularly supports regional start-ups in their development and assists non-profit projects in becoming self-sustaining. Furthermore, it is committed to the preservation and maintenance of cultural values, the promotion of historically significant undertakings in the Mittweida region, as well as projects in crisis areas, especially in reconstruction after natural disasters. Operationally, the IMM Foundation acts through its own programs and events and supports initiatives by awarding grants and donations, cooperating with the city of Mittweida, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, and other partners, acquiring and lending representative entertainment, health, and automation technology (twall®), as well as by establishing a circle of friends.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to strengthen innovation, creativity, and social engagement in the Mittweida region and beyond. We support sustainable project developments in science, technology, sports, health, and culture, as well as the preservation of historical heritage. Through targeted funding measures, partnerships, and our own initiatives, we create long-term added value and empower individuals and institutions to independently achieve their goals.

Target groups

Eligible to apply are non-profit, church-affiliated, public-law, and municipal legal entities based in Mittweida / Central Saxony, including cultural and educational institutions, associations, cities, and youth work organizations. Furthermore, the IMM Foundation supports regional start-ups, social initiatives, as well as historically significant projects. In exceptional cases, projects with a non-profit character outside the region and in crisis or reconstruction contexts are also supported.
