The Carinthian Economic Development Fund (KWF) is a non-profit fund of the state of Carinthia, established on the basis of the Carinthian Economic Development Act (K-WFG). Since 1993, the KWF has supported Carinthian companies and institutions of all sizes and sectors with tailored funding programs in the areas of investment, innovation, research & development, consulting, qualification, and internationalization. Through individual consultation and close customer support, the KWF minimizes risks, creates real added value, and contributes sustainably to strengthening and further developing Carinthia as a business location.

Our mission is to support Carinthian companies and institutions through customer-oriented, individualized funding consultation and guidance in all project phases. We focus on active listening, understanding, and tailored funding solutions to successfully advance growth, innovation, and internationalization initiatives. As bridge-builders between regional stakeholders, federal and EU funding agencies, we create synergies and jointly drive marketable solutions forward.

The funding programs of the KWF are aimed at companies and institutions based in Carinthia – from start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. Project sponsors from all sectors are supported if they make investments, plan innovation or internationalization projects, or seek to strengthen their competitiveness through consulting, qualification, and cooperation.
