Mission & Vision
KfW is committed to sustainably improving economic, social, and ecological living conditions. It promotes investments in energy efficiency, climate protection, infrastructure, education, and innovation, thereby strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises, housing construction, as well as public and international development projects in the long term. Target groups
The KfW funding programs are aimed at: private individuals (e.g., for new construction, renovation, studies, and further education), small and medium-sized enterprises as well as start-ups, public institutions and municipal authorities, banks and financing partners under the house bank principle, international project and export financiers (through subsidiaries such as KfW IPEX-Bank, DEG, KfW Development Bank), as well as networks and associations that wish to implement measures in environmental, social, and governance areas.
