The Cultural and Social Foundation of the Mayor of the City of Rosenheim, Dr. Michael Stöcker, was established on August 14, 1996, and was recognized on November 11, 1996, by the Government of Upper Bavaria as a legal public foundation under civil law. The foundation is based in Rosenheim and aims to promote cultural life in the city as well as support social and charitable tasks. The foundation’s initial endowment amounted to approximately 1.75 million euros and grew to about 3.5 million euros through an inheritance in 2022. The foundation is non-profit and supports a wide range of projects in the fields of culture, education, and social affairs.
