About the funder
The State Office for Construction and Transport (LBV) is a state authority within the portfolio of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg. It assumes central responsibilities in the areas of transport and infrastructure, particularly in road planning and structural engineering, investment promotion in public local transport, as well as the approval and planning approval of transport infrastructure projects. Additionally, the LBV is responsible for the upper aviation authority Berlin-Brandenburg (LuBB) and the technical management of urban development funding and construction technology. The office advises and supports municipal and supra-regional projects and administers funding for the sustainable development of urban and rural areas. With approximately 230 employees at five locations, the LBV ensures the implementation of state programs in the fields of mobility, urban development, and construction technology.

Our mission is to further develop the State Office for Construction and Transport as a modern, efficient, and service-oriented authority. We strive to provide the best possible support to municipalities, transport companies, and private builders in Brandenburg through professional expertise, reliable decision-making processes, and contemporary services. In doing so, we place great importance on transparent communication, a cross-generational team spirit, and innovative approaches to promoting mobility, urban development, and infrastructure.
Target groups
The funding and approval programs of the LBV are primarily aimed at municipal authorities (districts, independent cities, municipalities), transport companies, and public local transport system operators, as well as private and public builders who intend to implement projects in the areas of road construction, public local passenger transport, aviation, urban development, and construction technology. The goal is to strengthen regional development, improve mobility infrastructure, and promote sustainable urban and village development processes.
