Landesstiftung Opferschutz Schleswig-Holstein

The Landesstiftung Opferschutz Schleswig-Holstein was established on March 30, 2009, with its headquarters in Kiel. The capital provider is the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The statutory purpose of the foundation is financial assistance for victims of criminal offenses (§ 2 para. 1 of the statutes). The foundation grants one-time payments of up to €5,000 to individuals who have become victims of a criminal offense in Schleswig-Holstein after March 30, 2009, and have fallen into financial hardship, to alleviate material and immaterial consequences of the crime. Furthermore, it supports non-profit organizations in the field of victim protection in Schleswig-Holstein through grants of up to €5,000.

We are committed to providing unbureaucratic and prompt financial support to victims of crime in Schleswig-Holstein. Our goal is to complement existing compensation mechanisms and to assist those affected in economic distress. At the same time, we strengthen the victim support infrastructure by supporting non-profit organizations in victim protection.

Target groups are natural persons who have become victims of a criminal offense in Schleswig-Holstein since March 30, 2009, and who have fallen into hardship due to insufficient statutory compensation claims or lack of financial resources, as well as non-profit organizations based in Schleswig-Holstein whose tasks include providing individual personal assistance to victims of criminal offenses or implementing victim-witness support programs.
