About the funder
The Leibniz Institute of European History (IEG) in Mainz is an independent non-university research institute and a member of the Leibniz Association. Since 1500, it has been researching the political, social, religious, and cultural foundations of Europe, employing transnational, comparative, and global historical approaches. Additionally, it addresses current developments in the Digital Humanities. Mission & Vision
The IEG aims to contribute to the understanding of European developments through excellent historical fundamental research and to reduce prejudices.
