Marga und Kurt Möllgaard-Stiftung
About the funder
The Marga and Kurt Möllgaard Foundation was established in 1987 as a non-legal entity foundation within the Donors' Association, based on the testamentary provisions of the spouses Marga and Dr. Kurt Möllgaard. The purpose of the foundation is the promotion of science and research as well as the advancement of education, public and vocational training, to some extent also youth welfare, cultural purposes, and other tax-privileged charitable and benevolent causes. As an operating foundation, it focuses on three main funding priorities: promotion of science in research and teaching in the new federal states; promotion of international scientific cooperation, with a special emphasis on the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (particularly Baltic Sea states); and a funding focus on Frankfurt am Main. Additionally, individual projects in the humanities and natural sciences may be supported from the foundation’s income. From the proceeds of another legacy, the foundation supports social initiatives in accordance with the founders’ intentions. Foundation assets: approximately 15 million euros; funding volume: approximately 300,000 euros.
