About the funder

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg (MIL) is a state ministry based in Potsdam. It was established in 1990 as the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing, and Transport and has borne its current name since 2014. The MIL is responsible for mobility and transport, urban development, housing, building and planning law, as well as joint regional planning for Berlin-Brandenburg. Well-known programs include urban development funding, housing promotion, bicycle traffic promotion "City and Country," and the "Vibrant Centers" program.

Mission & Vision

As the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg, the MIL shapes sustainable infrastructures and living environments. The target groups are primarily municipalities and communities in Brandenburg, housing companies and private investors, low-income households, as well as people with disabilities. In addition, transport companies and public interest organizations are supported. The geographical focus is on the state of Brandenburg.
