Mission & Vision

The ministry is committed to maintaining and expanding North Rhine-Westphalia as a strong business location, advancing industrial and structural transformation in line with climate protection, and ensuring a sustainable and secure energy supply. The goal is to link economic growth with ecological responsibility and to create long-term prospects for companies and citizens.

Target groups

The funding programs and measures of the MWIKE are aimed at companies of all sizes in North Rhine-Westphalia, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, as well as actors in the fields of energy and climate protection. In addition, municipal authorities, research institutions, and associations are addressed, which wish to implement projects related to economic development, innovation, and sustainability.
