About the funder

The Ministry of Economy, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt is the highest state authority of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt responsible for economic and structural policy, tourism promotion, agricultural development, and forestry matters. It develops funding programs and guidelines to economically strengthen the location of Saxony-Anhalt, promote tourism, and sustainably support agriculture and forestry. In doing so, the ministry works closely with municipalities, associations, companies, and research institutions to implement future-oriented concepts and stabilize rural areas. Furthermore, it coordinates statewide calls for proposals and information services to facilitate project sponsors' access to funding.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is the sustainable and holistic development of the economy, tourism, agriculture, and forestry in Saxony-Anhalt. We promote innovation, strengthen regional value chains, and create framework conditions for business start-ups and corporate growth. At the same time, we are committed to the preservation of natural resources, climate protection, and the strengthening of rural areas. Target groups

The ministry's funding programs target small and medium-sized enterprises, founders and start-ups, tourism service providers and associations, agricultural enterprises and forestry actors, as well as municipalities and municipal agencies in Saxony-Anhalt. The target group also includes research institutions and networks involved in projects related to regional development, agricultural innovation, tourism marketing, and sustainable forestry. They benefit from financial support, advisory services, and practice-oriented qualification measures.
