About the funder
The MONOM Foundation for Change was established in 2021 as a legal foundation under civil law based in Leipzig and is recognized as a non-profit organization. It supports, strengthens, and advises individuals, initiatives, and non-profit associations in Germany that oppose racism, antisemitism, sexism, and other ideologies of inequality or engage with the examination of National Socialism. The name "MONOM" refers to a single-term variable in an equation and symbolically represents the impulse for change within societal structures.

Mission & Vision
The MONOM Foundation encourages a critical engagement with society with the aim of promoting the emancipatory idea of equality for all. It contributes to the reduction of racism, antisemitism, and sexism and supports the examination of the history of National Socialism. As part of the "Society Formula," the foundation seeks to deliberately initiate change and strengthen structures of solidarity.
Target groups
Funding is provided to individuals, students, and doctoral candidates, self-managed centers, (sub)cultural venues, as well as non-profit associations in Germany that are committed to combating discrimination and engaging with social issues. The foundation particularly targets initiatives that question social inequality, promote culture of remembrance, or create spaces for exchange and solidarity.
