The Otto-Stöterau Foundation is a private foundation under civil law, established in 1989. It is led by Chairman Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Hochstein, with Michael Ovel serving as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director. The foundation is based at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg and is dedicated to supporting emerging talent in the artistic, educational, and scientific fields of music. It provides assistance to prospective and current students, particularly at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg, as well as, where applicable, selected projects.

Mission & Vision

The Otto Stöterau Foundation is committed to the targeted promotion of young musical talent. Its goal is to support artistically, pedagogically, and scientifically ambitious prospective students and students, paving the way for them to receive qualified training and achieve successful professionalization in music.
