About the funder

The Bavarian Cultural Fund was established in 1996 by the Bavarian State Government to financially support cultural projects in all regions of the Free State. It implements the constitutional mandate to keep Bavaria alive as a cultural state. Each year, well over one hundred innovative project ideas in the fields of professional and amateur arts, cultural and adult education, as well as church educational work, receive grants. The decisive factor for funding allocation is the substantive quality and the contribution of each project to cultural diversity and decentralization in Bavaria.
