About the funder

The Roland Berger Foundation is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law based in Munich. Since 2008, it has been committed to promoting greater educational equity in Germany. Through the German Student Scholarship, it supports gifted and motivated children and adolescents from the second grade of primary school through to graduation. In close cooperation with around 60 partner schools, the foundation develops individual support plans across ten learning areas to strengthen academic, digital, and personal competencies.

Mission & Vision

The Roland Berger Foundation promotes talent and creates equal opportunities. It supports young people from families with challenging starting conditions so that they can fully develop their abilities. The goal is to secure the future viability of society through individual support and innovative learning formats.

Target groups

The funding supports talented, responsible, and committed pupils aged six to 16 who face challenging starting conditions. A prerequisite is attendance at a partner school within the German Student Scholarship program. Criteria include not only good academic performance but also social competence, willingness to help others, and the aspiration to pursue higher education in the future.
