Rolfing-Stiftung
About the funder
The Rolfing Foundation Hamburg is a non-profit foundation under civil law, founded in 1906 by Christian Nicolaus and Anna Olga Rolfing. Following significant devaluation of the original capital due to inflation in the 1920s and the currency reform of 1948, the foundation's assets shrank to such an extent that no adequate study grants could be awarded for an extended period. Only through an endowment from a former scholarship recipient did the financial situation improve again. Today, the foundation awards one-time study grants to very good, high-achieving, and needy medical students in Hamburg.
