About the funder

The Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection (SMWA) is a supreme state authority based in Dresden. It was established in 1990 following the re-establishment of the Free State of Saxony and has borne its current name since December 2024. The ministry is responsible for economic and business promotion, labour market and skilled labour policy, renewable energies, and climate protection. Well-known programs include: FÖMISAX (Saxony Funding Database), Europe Supports Saxony, Technology Promotion.
