About the funder
Schwalbe Stiftung gGmbH is a non-profit organization founded in 2024, initiated by the bicycle tire manufacturer Schwalbe (Ralf Bohle GmbH). It is operationally and financially committed to a fairer mobility transition in Germany, with the bicycle as a central element. Through project-based work, the foundation aims to research, improve, and publicly advocate for mobility justice.

Mission & Vision
Every person should have access to safe, affordable, and reliable mobility options, regardless of personal circumstances. The Schwalbe Stiftung therefore supports projects and initiatives that expand access to mobility, remove barriers, and strengthen social participation, in order to shape an inclusive mobility transition in Germany.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Schwalbe Stiftung are aimed at non-profit projects, initiatives, and organizations in the fields of mobility, environmental protection, and social justice. Direct funding for individuals is legally excluded. The goal is to establish partnerships with organizations that develop and implement innovative approaches to improving mobility equity.
