Mission & Vision
The KSVF is committed to ensuring the social security and livelihood of self-employed artists in Austria. Through targeted contribution subsidies and needs-based emergency grants, the fund supports artistic diversity and enables cultural practitioners to continue their work independently of financial obstacles. In doing so, the KSVF operates transparently, with minimal bureaucracy, and is supervised by the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media, and Sports.
Target groups
The target group of the KSVF consists of self-employed artists in Austria who are compulsorily insured with the Social Insurance Institution for the Self-Employed (SVS). Both contribution subsidies for regular social insurance and one-time or recurring emergency grants are provided. The assistance is aimed at cultural workers from all disciplines whose artistic activity is pursued as their main occupation and who have their primary residence in Austria.
