Mission & Vision
Journalism is a fundamental right of our democracy and an anchor of truth. The Sir-Hugh-Carleton-Greene Foundation is committed to awarding scholarships and prizes to young journalists free from governmental or partisan constraints. Our goal is to combat media disinformation by promoting the quality and independence of journalism, thereby enabling a well-informed society.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at young journalists up to approximately 35 years old who plan innovative and well-founded research projects in various thematic areas. They include individuals and small teams from Germany and the international environment who distinguish themselves through journalistic talent, creativity, and commitment to democratic society.
