Sportstiftung Saar
About the funder
The Sportstiftung Saar was established on December 13, 2013, at the Hermann Neuberger Sports School in Saarbrücken. The initiators were the State Sports Association for Saarland, the Ministry of the Interior and Sports, as well as 13 founding donors. The goal of this non-profit foundation is the idealistic and financial promotion of sports in Saarland – in particular elite sports, youth development in schools and clubs, as well as the inclusion of disabled and disadvantaged individuals. The Sportstiftung Saar supports elite athletes in Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, coaches, and project initiatives in schools, clubs, and social institutions. The foundation is financed through endowments, donations, and ongoing funding contributions from companies, associations, and private individuals.
