Staatskanzlei und Ministerium für Kultur des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt

The State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Saxony-Anhalt are the central state authorities responsible for coordinating the political affairs and cultural matters of the federal state. They oversee the State Chancellery as a service and coordination office of the state government, as well as the cultural promotion and further development of art, monument preservation, and cultural heritage in Saxony-Anhalt. In their function, they combine administrative management, strategic cultural policy, and public relations, providing information services and support for citizens and visitor groups.

The State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Saxony-Anhalt aim to ensure efficient political governance and communication of the state government and to preserve, further develop, and make accessible the cultural heritage of the state for all population groups. They support artists, cultural practitioners, institutions, and projects that contribute to the diversity, identity, and attractiveness of Saxony-Anhalt.

Our targets are cultural creators, female and male artists, cultural institutions, associations, as well as all citizens and visitors of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. We support projects across all disciplines such as visual arts, music, theater, monument preservation, and cultural education, and promote events and initiatives that keep cultural life vibrant and diverse in both urban and rural areas.
