About the funder

The Stiftung Digitale Chancen is a non-profit, operational foundation based in Berlin. Since 2002, it has been researching the social consequences of digitalization and advocating for equal access to the internet for all people. Through numerous projects at the national and European levels, it pursues the goals of digital inclusion, participation, and equal opportunities, thereby counteracting a digital divide in society. The foundation connects civil society, politics, business, and science, develops training materials, and conducts educational programs. It works in a target-group-oriented manner to strengthen digital skills and applies research findings in a practical way.

Mission & Vision

Our goal is digital equal opportunities: We enable and strengthen the digital participation of all people, connect civil society, politics, business, and science, initiate impulses and shape discourses at national and international levels, work in a target-group-oriented manner to strengthen digital skills, and research the societal impacts of digitalization while learning from practice for research.

Target groups

The offerings of the Stiftung Digitale Chancen are aimed at all those who wish to participate in the development and opportunities of digitalization. They address people of all generations with diverse social, financial, professional, and educational backgrounds, experiences, and life circumstances. In particular, disadvantaged population groups, individuals engaged in social work, or those seeking to re-enter the labor market are specifically targeted to strengthen digital and social participation as well as media literacy.
