Stiftung Kinderwürde
About the funder
Stiftung Kinderwürde is a non-profit private foundation established in 2003 and based in Bergisch Gladbach. Led by the board members Alexandra and Matthias Stadel, it funds individual aid projects for traumatized children who have become victims of violence, neglect, or sexual abuse. Every donated euro is used 100% for direct assistance, while administration and advertising costs are fully covered by the interest income from the foundation's capital. The foundation independently reviews each individual case and supports those affected from the application process through to the implementation of therapeutic or material aid.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Kinderwürde is committed to restoring dignity to children who have experienced violence, neglect, or sexual abuse. Through individual case assessments and tailored financial support, the foundation enables traumatized children to access therapies and aids that are not covered or not immediately covered by health insurance. Our goal, even as a smaller organization with volunteer board members, is to ensure that every donation directly benefits the affected children.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at children and adolescents of all ages who are severely traumatized due to violence, neglect, or sexual abuse. A brief medical or psychological statement regarding the experienced trauma as well as proof of financial need are required. Funding is provided for individually necessary therapies, trauma therapy measures, and practical assistance (e.g., procurement of therapeutic materials, assistance dog training) when statutory cost bearers cannot (immediately) cover the expenses.
