Mission & Vision

The Natureum Niederelbe Foundation is committed to the protection and sustainable development of the natural and cultural landscapes of the Lower Elbe region. Through clear communication of scientific findings and educational programs, we promote environmental awareness and appreciation for the native fauna and flora. Our goal is to empower people of all ages to take responsibility for their environment and actively shape its future.

Target groups

The funding programs and educational offerings are aimed at families, school classes, kindergarten groups, nature and environmental enthusiasts, as well as professionals from conservation and education. A special focus is placed on children and young people to foster an early awareness of ecological interrelationships. Group programs, guided tours, and the museum mobile also enable visitors from rural areas to access natural history education.
