Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Rechnen is committed to promoting computational competence as a fundamental cultural skill and enabling people of all ages to have positive experiences with arithmetic. Through innovative projects and collaborations, it aims to reduce apprehension towards mathematics, convey mathematical issues in a context relevant to everyday life, and thereby make a sustainable contribution to personal development, social participation, and economic future viability.
Target groups
The funding programs and initiatives of the foundation are aimed at non-profit institutions and projects in the education sector, including kindergartens, schools, extracurricular care and youth recreation facilities, vocational training providers, as well as educational organizations. Furthermore, the foundation supports multipliers such as teachers, parents, and education officials, actively engages young people and adults in continuing education, and cooperates with partners from business, science, and civil society to bring practical mathematics to all segments of the population.
