Stiftung "Sachsen. Land der Ingenieure"

The "Sachsen. Land der Ingenieure" Foundation is a non-profit, legally capable foundation under civil law based in Dresden. It was established by the Saxony Chamber of Engineers and aims to promote engineering and science-oriented education at general education schools in the Free State of Saxony. Furthermore, the foundation supports fundamental and applied scientific research, technology transfer in business and society, as well as the acquisition of key qualifications. It funds research institutes, awards merit scholarships, grants prizes, and organizes competitions, seminars, and training events. The allocation of foundation funds is primarily for regionally based projects and is carried out by the board according to self-established funding guidelines.

The "Sachsen. Land der Ingenieure" Foundation aims to enhance the scientific and technical educational level in Saxony, inspire children and young people for STEM subjects, and support particularly gifted individuals. It sees itself as a driver of innovation and places great importance on sustainable educational offerings, close cooperation between science, industry, and administration, as well as effective knowledge transfer to secure the future prosperity of the region.

The funding activities are aimed at pupils and students, teachers, as well as educational institutions associated with primary schools, secondary schools, and grammar schools in the Free State of Saxony. Special consideration is given to programs for talented young people and projects that strengthen the practical connection between schools, research, and industry.
