Stiftung Welthaus Bielefeld

On November 6, 2010, the community foundation "Stiftung Welthaus Bielefeld" was launched with an endowment of €50,000 provided by five founders. The foundation supports long-term and sustainable projects of Welthaus Bielefeld e. V. in the fields of development cooperation and international understanding. The focus is on the realization of human rights, the fight against poverty, and the establishment of a socially just global economic order. The endowment capital remains intact, while the proceeds are permanently allocated to project funding.

The Stiftung Welthaus Bielefeld is committed to strengthening global justice and international understanding by specifically investing the returns from its permanently preserved foundation capital in development policy and human rights-related initiatives of Welthaus Bielefeld e. V. It specifically supports projects that promote education, health, sustainable livelihoods, and fair economic structures in partner countries.

The funding provided by the Stiftung Welthaus Bielefeld is directed towards projects initiated and supported by Welthaus Bielefeld e. V. in countries of the Global South. Initiatives and organizations committed to education, healthcare, food sovereignty, empowerment of small-scale farmers, human rights, and social justice are supported. The foundation primarily assists non-profit partners in the Global South who implement sustainable development goals locally and advocate for structural change.
