About the funder
The Westphalian Cultural Landscape Foundation is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Münster. It was established in November 2005 by the Westphalian-Lippe Agricultural Association in cooperation with the Chamber of Agriculture of North Rhine-Westphalia. The foundation's operational goal is to preserve and promote the sustainable usability, diversity, distinctiveness, and beauty of the cultural landscapes in Westphalia-Lippe as a habitat for the characteristic animal and plant species. To this end, it works closely with farmers, nature conservation organizations, authorities, and other partners, and initiates and supports a variety of nature conservation and species protection projects.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Westfälische Kulturlandschaft is committed to the preservation and development of cultural landscapes in Westphalia-Lippe by linking nature conservation and agriculture. It promotes practical and scientifically supported conservation measures, advises agricultural enterprises and municipalities, and thus contributes to a species-rich, functional, and sustainable cultural landscape. Central to its work is close collaboration among all stakeholders on an equal footing.
Target groups
The target groups of the foundation include farmers, landowners, hunting associations, as well as municipalities and nature conservation organizations in Westphalia-Lippe. It also addresses agricultural, nature conservation, and municipal authorities, as well as interested citizens who wish to engage in biodiversity, species protection, and the sustainable development of the cultural landscape.
