Thüringer Landesverwaltungsamt (TLVwA)
About the funder
The Thuringian State Administration Office (TLVwA) has been a higher state authority in the Free State of Thuringia since 1991. As an enforcement, supervisory, appeals, and funding authority, it serves as the interface between the municipal authorities (districts and independent cities) and the ministries of the state government. It consolidates tasks in five departmental groups ranging from "Labor" to "Licensing," covering infrastructure funding, social and health matters, as well as planning approval procedures and construction and spatial planning tasks. The headquarters is located in Weimar, with branch offices in Erfurt, Suhl, Meiningen, Gera, Sondershausen, Nordhausen, and Eisenach.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is the efficient implementation of tasks and funding programs of all Thuringian ministries, as well as the professional and administrative supervision of municipal authorities. We equally promote economic infrastructure, social cohesion, and the rule of law in Thuringia. Through professional expertise and transparent administrative procedures, we contribute to sustainable development and the well-being of the citizens.
Target groups
The TLVwA primarily directs its funding and administrative services to municipal territorial authorities (districts, independent cities), public agencies and ministries, as well as to companies, associations, and citizens who require support or approvals in areas of responsibility such as infrastructure funding, crafts, housing construction, social affairs, education, and transportation. Additionally, specialized authorities, public interest bodies, and planning offices benefit from the services and information offerings of the TLVwA.
