About the funder
The Vector Foundation was established in 2011 and holds 60% of the shares of Vector Informatik GmbH. It is financed through the dividends of this company and allocates approximately 12 million euros annually for charitable purposes. Since its inception, it has invested over 100 million euros in technical research, STEM education, as well as projects to combat homelessness and youth unemployment in Baden-Württemberg. Each year, it supports around 650 projects in the fields of research, education, and social engagement.

Mission & Vision
Together towards the future – with focused commitment that brings about sustainable change. The Vector Foundation supports bold ideas in technical-scientific research, strengthens STEM education from primary school to university, and is committed to equal opportunities through projects for the integration of young people and the fight against homelessness in Baden-Württemberg.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at non-profit research institutions and universities in Baden-Württemberg, schools and teachers in the STEM field, as well as organizations and initiatives committed to the integration and participation of young adults and to combating homelessness and youth unemployment. Both individual projects and collaborations with a strong focus on innovation and practical application are supported.
