Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland GmbH is the central economic development agency of the state of Burgenland (Austria). As a 100% state-owned company, it supports business startups, SMEs, start-ups, and established companies with a comprehensive portfolio of funding and financing programs, location development, consulting services, and investor relations. With around 80 employees at multiple locations (Eisenstadt, Güssing, Jormannsdorf), it drives economic development, innovation, and regional networking in Burgenland.

Our mission is to sustainably strengthen the Burgenland economic location and increase regional value creation. We promote innovation and business growth through targeted funding programs, financing options, participation models, and active location marketing. In doing so, we rely on partnership-based consulting, networking, and efficient administrative processes.

The funding programs of Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland GmbH are aimed at founders, one-person enterprises (OPEs), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, and larger companies across all sectors (trade, tourism, innovation, energy and environmental measures, etc.) in Burgenland. Furthermore, we support municipalities, non-profit organizations, and research institutions in regional development and innovation projects.
