Mission & Vision
We are committed to sustainable and holistic management of water bodies in the Munich area. Our goal is to strengthen flood protection, improve water body structures, and implement ecological enhancements in harmony with the needs of municipalities and the population. Through expert consultation, planning, and funding, we contribute to the safety, environmental conservation, and future viability of water management in our region.
Target groups
The services and funding programs of the Munich Water Management Office are aimed at municipalities (districts, cities, and communities), municipal special-purpose associations and cooperatives, municipal enterprises and companies, as well as private applicants within the framework of non-governmental water engineering projects. These target groups receive technical advice, planning assistance, and financial grants for measures related to flood protection, watercourse renaturation and maintenance, as well as for concepts for the sustainable management of water resources.
