About the funder

The State Office for Agriculture and Environment of Western Pomerania (StALU VP) is a lower state authority within the portfolio of the Ministry for Climate Protection, Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Environment of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Headquartered in Stralsund, it is responsible for implementing federal, state, and EU legal regulations in the fields of agriculture/EU funding matters, integrated rural development, nature conservation, water and soil, emissions and climate protection, as well as waste and circular economy. As a competent specialist partner and service provider, it promotes sustainable projects, supports stakeholders in rural areas, and ensures environmentally compatible development.

Mission & Vision

The StALU Vorpommern is committed to future-oriented regional development in rural areas. It sees itself as a knowledgeable service provider and partner for the economy, agriculture, municipalities, and the population. Our goal is the sustainable management of natural resources, the strengthening of agricultural structures, as well as the protection of water, soil, and biodiversity.

Target groups

Eligible for funding are legal entities under public law (excluding the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) as well as natural and legal persons under private law, insofar as they are sponsors of eligible projects. This includes municipalities, water and soil associations, agricultural enterprises, and private project sponsors implementing measures for near-natural watercourse development, flood and coastal protection, groundwater protection, advanced wastewater treatment, as well as conceptual water management projects.
