Coverage of liabilities of Tierkörperentsorgungsges.m.b.H. (TKE)

The funding program "Coverage of Disposal Costs by Tierkörperentsorgungsges.m.b.H. (TKE)" supports agricultural enterprises and animal keepers in Carinthia in the proper and disease-preventive disposal of animal carcasses. Since January 1, 2014, the state of Carinthia has provided a continuous subsidy opportunity that specifically promotes animal welfare, agriculture and rural development, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection. Through close cooperation with Tierkörperentsorgungsges.m.b.H., deceased animals with a minimum weight of 80 kg can be collected directly, ensuring environmentally sound disposal and minimizing potential health risks. The measure contributes to sustainably and responsibly strengthening agricultural enterprises.

For utilization, the state of Carinthia covers 75% of the incurred disposal costs, significantly reducing the financial burden for enterprises. Eligible expenses include all costs associated with the collection of animal carcasses over 80 kg by TKE. Applications can be submitted without limitation, as the subsidy is permanently available and can be applied for annually without deadline restrictions. The sole prerequisite for funding is the proper collection through Tierkörperentsorgungsges.m.b.H. and a minimum weight of 80 kg per carcass. Direct billing between TKE and the state of Carinthia ensures a straightforward and transparent process, guaranteeing prompt reimbursement of the subsidy.
