Description
The final scholarship of the Maria Ladenburger Foundation supports students of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg who are shortly before graduation and find themselves in an unintentional social or financial emergency. During ongoing selection rounds, individuals can apply at any time to receive funding for a maximum of six months. Up to €500 per month is granted to cover living expenses. The assessment is carried out by the board of the Association of Friends of the University of Freiburg e. V., with a focus on the severity of the emergency and the realistic prospects of successfully completing the degree. The program aims to close short-term funding gaps and enable a smooth completion of studies, so that eligible participants can complete their master's or state examination without additional existential fears.
Several documents are required for the application, including a motivation letter explaining the emergency and describing the remaining steps until graduation, as well as a brief letter of recommendation from a professor. Furthermore, a bachelor's degree certificate, an overview of completed master's achievements, a tabular CV, a declaration of other applied for or granted aids, and a completed foundation declaration must be submitted. Applications can be submitted continuously; there are no deadlines.
