Description

The Austrian State of Salzburg and the City of Salzburg jointly cover the administrative and structural costs of the medical on-call service on Sundays and public holidays in the City of Salzburg to ensure comprehensive basic medical care. Continuous funding in the form of a grant is aimed at public institutions and can be applied for at any time. Located at the center of the Austrian Red Cross, Salzburg Regional Office, the service ensures that medical professionals are reliably reachable. Both personnel deployments and infrastructural components are funded to optimally support operations from the telephone and radio control center to the treatment-relevant premises and emergency vehicles.

Institutions interested in funding must, among other requirements, provide medical personnel, a telephone center, a radio control center, manned radio vehicles, as well as treatment and other facilities. Eligible expenses explicitly include administrative and structural costs. For the application, proof of legal status, a budget estimate for the current fiscal year, a detailed financing plan with total costs and own contributions, as well as written declarations permitting inspection of accounting records and data protection are required. Since there is no deadline, funding applications can be submitted continuously to the Office of the Salzburg State Government. In this way, the funders sustainably contribute to ensuring that individuals present in the City of Salzburg during the Sunday and public holiday on-call service times always have access to qualified primary medical care.
