Description
The “General Construction Industry” funding is aimed at municipalities and municipal associations in Lower Austria that wish to implement small-scale municipal projects in the area of infrastructure. The objective is to support the construction, expansion, conversion, and renovation of municipal offices, sports and recreational facilities, libraries, kindergartens, music schools, roads, and bicycle traffic facilities, thereby strengthening the local construction industry. Investments that are directly factually and temporally related to the project are eligible for funding. Measures financed through fee budgets or investments in rented or leased buildings are excluded. A total budget of approximately €1.776 million is available to accelerate the implementation of infrastructure ideas.
The funding is granted in the form of a non-repayable grant and can amount to up to 15% of the eligible total costs, but no more than €22,500 per project. Applications can be submitted at any time until December 31, 2026, but must be filed before the start of construction. A prerequisite for disbursement is proof of proper use within two years after the grant approval. Submissions are made via the electronic online form of the General Construction Service Department (BD1) of the Lower Austrian State Government or in writing by email. The application must include, among other things, cost estimates, project descriptions with plan representations, a municipal council resolution, and a financing plan. This funding offer makes an important contribution to the sustainable strengthening of regional infrastructure and provides municipalities with reliable financial support for needs-based small-scale projects.
