Description
The Lower Saxony Lotto Sports Foundation supports clubs, associations, and non-profit organizations in Lower Saxony in implementing sports and integration projects for people with a migration background. Projects that are sustainable, creative, and needs-oriented, and that contribute to social participation, are funded. Eligible applicants include interest groups, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions that submit a professionally planned project in the areas of sports, migration, culture & media, or work & social affairs. Applications are generally possible regardless of duration and target groups, provided that no purely seasonal funding, infrastructure measures, or already completed measures are requested.
Funding applications up to an amount of 5,000 euros can be submitted at any time. For funding needs between 5,000 and 20,000 euros, fixed deadlines apply (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31); for requested amounts over 20,000 euros, decisions are made by the foundation board on September 30 and at the end of February. A prerequisite for a successful application is prior consultation with the office as well as the submission of a project outline via the online form. Evaluation criteria include sustainability, innovation, professionalism, and the specific needs situation. The foundation provides its support as a non-repayable grant to realize long-term effective measures and to strengthen the integration of sports offerings into migration work.
