General Support of the Thuringia Nature Conservation Foundation

The Thuringia Nature Conservation Foundation is a renowned institution dedicated to promoting projects in the fields of environmental and nature conservation as well as landscape management in Thuringia. Through its statutory funding, it supports a variety of measures aimed at the preservation, protection, and further development of natural habitats. It is particularly noteworthy that grants are provided as financial subsidies covering up to 100% of eligible expenses. In this context, honoraria and material costs are primarily considered, while new building construction, extensive renovations, technical equipment, or operating costs are excluded from funding. Applications are submitted via a formally prescribed procedure, in which, alongside the funding guidelines, the application instructions and the designated application form must be included. The criteria specified in the guidelines, such as nature conservation relevance, landscape preservation and care, as well as sustainability aspects, are decisive. Financing is provided exclusively in the form of project grants, whereby a co-financing contribution in the form of financial resources or labor must always be provided. By continuously accepting applications, the foundation ensures that all interested stakeholders can engage in the preservation of the natural environment and the promotion of ecological education in Thuringia.
