Description
Under the title General Research Funding, the State of Upper Austria provides a continuously available grant aimed at sustainably strengthening the research location Upper Austria and enhancing the competitiveness of regional research activities. Interested educational institutions (both university and non-university), research institutions, private individuals, companies, associations, working groups, as well as other institutions for research and knowledge dissemination based in Upper Austria may submit applications throughout the year. Projects in the fields of research & innovation as well as science are supported; funding is granted for material and immaterial costs. The open submission mode enables flexible project planning and contributes to the long-term development of the research location.
A prerequisite for funding is the location commitment in Upper Austria as well as the recognition and compliance with the general funding guidelines of the state. Upon positive approval, a funding agreement is concluded, which includes deadlines for reporting obligations and interim reports. The disbursement is made as a one-time, non-repayable aid without costs for the applicants. The program has an unlimited budget volume and guarantees reliable planning through a transparent allocation procedure. For the application, a funding declaration with project description and cost/financing plan must be submitted; for accounting, a project report, proof of costs, invoices, and payment receipts are required. This structured funding routine effectively supports ambitious research projects and promotes innovation capacity in Upper Austria.
