Description
The state of Rhineland-Palatinate enables targeted support for cultural initiatives through a fixed-amount funding of up to €50,000. Projects by cultural creators and institutions from Rhineland-Palatinate in areas such as theater, music, visual arts, museums, heritage preservation, as well as socio-cultural offerings are supported. In addition to independent ensembles and youth art schools, municipal cultural institutions and non-governmental museums also benefit from the financial support. Voluntary work can be accounted for as flat-rate fictitious expenses, allowing voluntary engagement to be recognized up to 20% of the eligible total costs. An early start of measures is possible for grants up to €50,000, facilitating the implementation of time-critical projects.
Eligible applicants include both natural persons (cultural creators, artists) and legal entities under public and private law (municipalities, associations, educational institutions). The application includes a detailed project description as well as a transparent cost and financing plan. Proof of appropriate use of funds must be submitted by June 30 of the following year at the latest, whereby a simplified proof of use is permitted for amounts up to €25,000. Due to the flexibly designed guidelines, the two-month deadline for fund withdrawal up to €25,000 is waived, and the administrative burden is reduced overall. This funding opportunity provides a reliable basis for a diverse and sustainable cultural landscape in Rhineland-Palatinate.
