Description
The AMIF-M 2.7 module for capacity and knowledge development within the framework of the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027 supports research projects and practical applications in Region: Vienna. It aims to strengthen sustainable organizational structures and optimize migration and integration processes through comprehensive data collection, systematic analysis of statistics on migration procedures and integration trajectories, the further development of monitoring tools, evaluation concepts, and indicators to measure integration success. A particular focus is placed on the collection and analysis of gender-specific data to ensure needs-based planning and efficient use of resources. Continuous calls for proposals allow for flexible project planning, while a grant of up to 75% (or 90% according to Art. 15 (3) Regulation 2021/1147) of eligible costs effectively supports ambitious initiatives.
Funding is provided to research institutions, universities, and specialized advisory centers conducting systematic analyses of migration procedures and integration processes. Requirements include complete and timely submission within a public call, affiliation with the AMIF target group, and cooperative partnerships with relevant stakeholders from administration, civil society, and the economy. Eligibility criteria encompass legal entities under private and public law, international organizations, and compliance with funding guidelines. Funded projects are expected to strengthen interdisciplinary networks, offer empirical studies, pilot applications, training programs, and practical workshops for capacity development, as well as implement cross-border cooperation. The objective is the evidence-based advancement of national and EU-wide integration strategies through the transfer of scientific findings into practice, harmonization of evaluation standards, and promotion of best practices in migration management.
