Description

In Tyrol, companies and public institutions have a permanent funding option available through the measure "Workplace Subsidies" to support the employment of people with disabilities. Wage subsidies are granted based on the individual performance capacity and the collectively agreed gross wage or, in the absence of a collective agreement, the actual statutory gross wage. Additionally, a mentor subsidy can be applied for if the service "Inclusive Work" (§ 11 para. 2 lit. g TTHG) is granted simultaneously. Mentors act as contacts within the company and facilitate a smooth entry as well as the workplace integration of people with disabilities. Ancillary wage costs are not considered in the calculation, while the maximum funding amounts are defined in the Workplace Subsidy Regulation. Applications can be submitted throughout the year.

A prerequisite for funding is the lawful employment of people with disabilities in compliance with all labor and social law provisions. Only wage costs and additional mentor subsidies are eligible for funding; other expenses such as ancillary wage costs are not considered. The initiative aims to motivate employers in Tyrol to create and secure inclusive workplaces in the long term. This support not only reduces the financial burden when hiring but also improves the quality of workplace integration. The program contributes to equal opportunities in the labor market and helps strengthen the social participation of people with disabilities.
