Description
The Training Cost Subsidy for Disadvantaged Individuals in Hesse is aimed at companies, municipalities, and public training institutions that want to enable socially and/or individually disadvantaged young people to access initial vocational training. The funding program creates a financial incentive with up to 2,000 euros subsidy per training year (or 1,000 euros in the fourth year, maximum 7,000 euros) to sustainably promote training readiness, implementation, and completion. As part of regional labor market promotion, it strengthens practical training on site and mobilizes the potential of disadvantaged youth to secure skilled labor in Hesse. By awarding flat-rate funding amounts, the training team can expand operational resources and specifically implement accompanying measures to stabilize and motivate trainees. The project duration extends up to 48 months, and ongoing applications are possible.
To be eligible, the young people must have their primary residence in Hesse and must not have completed vocational training under BBiG/HwO. Social or individual disadvantage must be proven by appropriate authorities (e.g., Federal Employment Agency, medical certificate, leaving certificate from a special school). Applications for the subsidy must be submitted to the Kassel Regional Council no later than one day before the start of training. In addition to the training contract, proof of disadvantage as well as, in case of premature termination of training, the termination confirmation and the last training remuneration statement are required documents. Training relationships with first- or second-degree relatives are excluded from funding. Allocation is made in the order of application receipt and within the available budget funds.
