Description
The Public Employment Service (AMS) supports educational institutions throughout Austria with a grant for investment measures in the fields of initial and further training. The goal is the establishment, maintenance, and modernization of training centers to build up, maintain, or bring capacities up to a contemporary technological standard. Funding is provided for construction, maintenance, and technology adaptation measures, provided that training capacities are not available or not available to the required extent. Applications can be submitted at any time until the funding volume is exhausted, enabling long-term planning and rapid implementation. Thanks to this investment, teaching facilities can be precisely adapted to current educational requirements and sustainably secured.
The program targets recognized educational providers operating their own training centers or suitable bidders from tender procedures when no alternative interested parties are available. A prerequisite for funding is proof of operation of recognized centers or successful negotiation with a competent educational provider. Establishment, maintenance, and modernization investments are supported. In the selection process, a higher proportion of own funds and additional financing commitments from third parties play a decisive role. The program contributes to a demand-oriented expansion of training places, increases participation in the labor market, and supports the reduction of unemployment through modern and targeted initial and further training offers.
