Consulting for Out-of-Home Catering Companies on the Increased Use of Organic Farming Products

The funding supports companies in the out-of-home catering sector nationwide in increasing the proportion of organic products in their offerings. Eligible for funding are consulting services specifically aimed at optimizing purchasing and processing procedures involving organic products. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from canteens, caterers, restaurants, and hotels based in Germany are eligible to apply. The funding volume covers both costs for professional consulting as well as necessary travel expenses. Applications can be submitted continuously and are granted as a non-repayable subsidy.

The measure is backed by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and implemented by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE). The objective is to promote sustainable procurement structures and strengthen the competitive position of ecologically oriented gastronomy businesses. Through a tailored analysis, weaknesses in inventory management are identified and recommendations for transitioning to organic products are developed. Companies thus receive practical solutions to efficiently implement ecological standards and align their operations for future viability.
