Consulting for Out-of-Home Catering Companies on the Increased Use of Organic Farming Products

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) supports companies in the out-of-home catering sector nationwide with a grant program to promote external consulting services. The aim is to increase the use of organically produced food in canteens, restaurants, communal catering, and catering services, thereby sustainably boosting the demand for organic products. Interested businesses can submit funding applications continuously and receive financial grants for qualified consulting by external experts in the field of organic farming. The funding is implemented by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE) as the project sponsor and offers a practical entry point for the transition to organic food.

Eligible for funding are companies in the out-of-home catering sector that provide proof of their activity in communal catering. Only expenses for external consulting services aimed at developing individual implementation strategies, supply chain analysis, and suitable sourcing options for organic products are eligible. This offer is directed at all businesses wishing to increase their share of products from organic farming to meet ecological standards and offer consumers a more diverse, sustainable food selection. The continuous submission of applications enables flexible planning and rapid implementation of consulting measures.
