Description
The Fonds Soziales Wien (FSW) continuously funds vocational qualification and labor market integration measures for people with disabilities of working age from 15 to 64 years, who have their main residence or habitual abode in Vienna. The aim is to support the transition from school to working life, the expansion of competencies, as well as sustainable integration into the labor market. Funded measures include work trainings, career orientation and exploration programs, qualification, course and further training programs, as well as extended apprenticeship training or partial qualifications. This offer is complemented by a low-threshold advisory service for all parties involved. Within the framework of labor market integration, wage subsidies and mentor subsidies may also be granted. The maximum funding period is 36 months; applications can be submitted online at any time via the MeinFSW portal.
Eligible for funding are private individuals with verified disabilities, Austrian citizenship or equivalence according to § 4 CGW, as well as main residence or habitual abode in Vienna. A prerequisite is that no similar services from third parties are being utilized and that the measure is necessary, appropriate, and economical. To apply, the following must be submitted: the fully completed application for funding of services, official photo ID, birth certificate, proof of disability, proof of Austrian citizenship or equivalence, as well as a commitment/liability declaration. The decision is based on a professional assessment by the FSW team; approval is granted in writing. With the funding, the FSW pays the subsidies directly to the recognized institutions. Supervised quality controls and regular performance reports ensure the proper use of the funding.
